Pharmacokinetic properties:

Indications:
Type I diabetes mellitus: (dependent on insulin) in children and adults.
Diabetes mellitus Typ II: (nicht insulinabhängig) im Stadium der Resistenz von per-oralen hypoglykämischen Arzneimitteln, insbesondere Resistenz gegen Medikamente (kombinierte Therapie), unterströmte Erkrankungen, chirurgische Eingriffe (Mono- oder kombinierte Therapie) & Diabetes Typ II bei Schwangeren Frau.
Contraindications:
Hypoglycemia, hypersensitivity to drugs based on human insulin.
Method of application and dosage:
The dosage and route of administration are each determined individually:
The drug is given subcutaneously, IM or IV.
In the case of monotherapy, the drug is administered 3 times a day or up to 5-6 times if necessary.
If the daily dose exceeds 0.6 IU / kg, Insulin H bio R is injected into different parts of the body two or more times a day.
Special instructions:
It is advisable to those patients who take more than 100 IU insulin / day.
In the case of substitution of an insulin-containing preparation with another, the substitution of insulin-containing medicinal products should be carried out under the control of the glucose level in the blood.
If this medicinal product is used for the first time, special care should be taken about psychological stress and the ability to operate machines.
The dose should be corrected for changes in the character and type of diet, severe physical stress, infectious diseases, surgery, thyroid dysfunction, Addison's disease, hypo-pituitarism, kidney failure and patients over 62 years of age.

Side effects:
Influence of carbohydrate metabolism:
Hypoglycemic condition (pallor of the dermal integuments, intensification of diaphoresis, palpitations, tremor)
Allergic reactions: very rare rash.
Side effects: lipodystrophy in drug administration sites (with long-term use)
Other: temporal reflection disorders (mostly at the beginning of therapy)
Overdose:
In case of overdose, the development of the hypoglycemic state is possible. Initial symptoms of the hypoglycemic condition are as follows:
Intensification of diaphoresis
Palpitations
Tremor
Feeling of hunger
paleness
a headache
In severe cases, the development of a hypoglycemic coma is possible. 20-40 ml of 40% glucose solutions are given intravenously or 1 mg of glucagon intramuscularly.
Mild hypoglycemia can be treated with sugar or sugar-containing products.
